Austin Named ‘Best Place to Live’ in 2017 Report

Making the rounds in headlines both local and national this week was an announcement released by the U.S. News & World Report. The U.S. News stated that Austin, Texas, Live Music Capital of the World, had finally overtaken Denver, Colorado as the Best Place to Live in America in 2017.

The report ranked our friendly city based off of a few key factors, including affordability, job prospects and quality of life.

Furthermore, with an average of 50 people moving into the city daily, a high job market index, high residential quality of life satisfaction and more, our booming city earned the top score of 9.8 out of 10.

According to the Austin-American Statesman, “The 2017 Best Places to Live list was put together after thousands of Americans were surveyed to find out what they value in a hometown. The methodology also factored in demographic data from the U.S. Census Bureau, crime stats from the FBI, and information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as well as previous U.S. News rankings of the high schools and hospitals.”

With the housing market booming and summer about to start, there’s no better time than the present to look into buying a new home in the Austin area. Learn more about our homes and schedule a tour today.
