Top 5 Lakeway Events to Experience This Fall

Lakeway, as well as Lake Travis, has some of the most family-friendly activities in the Central Austin area, and as we kick off the Autumn Equinox and jump into the Fall season, we want to share with you some of our favorite upcoming activities. From Fall concert series’ to trail of lights events, we’ve got you covered. 

1. The Starlight Music Series
Every Saturday, 7pm CST
As part of an ongoing series, every Saturday at 7, The Oasis on Lake Travis hosts a band at their venue, free and open to the public. The Oasis on Lake Travis is the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas, with stunning views of gorgeous Lake Travis.

2. Serene Hills Sip & Stroll 
October 14, 4-7pm CST
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, Serene Hills is hosting a food and wine event you won't want to miss. Taste and sip your way through four courses with light bites created by local chefs and culinary artists paired with four different wine varieties at each model home. This event is for ages 21+, and is free and open to the public.

3. Viewpoints Dinner / Speaker Series 
October 15, 4:30pm CST This Fall and Winter on every third Sunday each month, the City of Lakeway hosts a thought-provoking speaker series including food and drink. This speaker series has a host of topics, including science, arts, history, business, current events and more. The October event will feature Sheri Soltes, founder and president of the non-profit Service Dogs, Inc., which is committed to rescuing dogs from animal shelters and training them to become service pets for people in need.

4. The Lakeway Arts Committee Concert Series
October 22, 4pm CST
The Austin Brass Band will be performing at the Lakeway Activity Center as part of their Fall concert series. The Austin Brass Band is a 30-piece band that performs classical, contemporary, cinematic tunes and more. This band is conducted by John Caputo of the USAF Band of the West, San Antonio, and is free and open to the public.

5. Lakeway Lights On!
December 1, 6-8pm CST
The annual Lights On! event marks the beginning of the holiday season with the illumination of the Trail of Lights behind Lakeway City Hall. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookie decorating, a marshmallow roasting and more. The City of Lakeway will also be accepting canned goods and other non-perishable food items as part of their holiday food drive to benefit Lake Travis Crisis Ministries. This event is free and open to the public.
